WHERE CAN I FIND OUT IF GAS COMPANIES ARE LEASING IN MY AREA?

The other downside to contacting a company is that you may discover that it jeopardizes your negotiating position, since you have made the initial contact.
That being said, if you follow the forums and discover that you are in an area where significant activity is occurring, contacting the active companies might not be considered unwise.
Another option is to list your land where companies are looking for land to lease or buy. Timing is everything and if your land is listed, if the companies are looking in your area, you will be visible to them.
